Choose Your Pain – Failure or Success?

A few days ago I got a video email from Gary Ryan Blair. Gary is the president of The Goals Guy – a training organization whose mission is to help their clients build and sustain superior performance. The video resonated with me so much I had to blog about what it was about. The video was about choosing your pain.

There are 2 pains in life: The pain of Failure and the pain of Success.

Any dream you have, any goal you want to achieve has a price. To be truly successful, you need to pay upfront and in full with your own sweat and effort. There is no other way. You can’t harvest what you don’t plant.

To achieve any goal, you need to choose between the two pains in life – the pain of failure or the pain of success. According to Gary Blair, the moment you choose not to continue paying the price of success is the moment you choose to suffer the consequences of failure – which is the worst kind of pain.

The pain of failure is always higher than the price of success. The cost and consequences of failure in a relationship, career, a job or any area, will cause a monumental amount of disruption in your life.

Example, if you lack financial discipline you will suffer the consequences of debt, harassing bill collectors and sleepless nights.

If you do not manage your diet, you will suffer the consequences of ill health and weight gain.

By not keeping your promises or honoring your commitments, you will suffer the loss of reputation and contaminated character.

Sooner or later each of us must choose to pay the price of success or to pay the cost of failure. You must choose your pain.

The price of success is often more than people are willing to pay but it’s not more than they’re capable of paying.

The following are the costs of suffering the price of success.

If you have disciplined spending habits, you get to enjoy peace of mind and an early retirement.

If you suffer the cost of daily exercise and nutrition, you get to enjoy a great physique and an exceptional quality of life.

By suffering the inconvenience of going the extra mile for your clients, you will enjoy bigger commissions and increased opportunity in life.

By suffering the cost of preparation and doing more than what’s expected, you will enhance your reputation, expand your opportunities and increase your social capital.

Choose to pay the price of success.

The price of success is temporary discomfort. But the price of failure must be paid forever. By choosing the price of success, you will make monumental performance gains that will change your life FOREVER.

There are 2 pains in life: The pain of failure and the pain of success.

Which will you choose?

Go live a Truly Wealthy life!
